The Sunshine Coast Mental Health and Specialised Services provide hospital-based inpatient, sub-acute, community / ambulatory mental health services and community alcohol and drug service to those living within the Sunshine Coast region.
The Nursing Director Child and Youth Mental Health is responsible and accountable for the provision of effective leadership, high level operational management and clinical expertise to ensure the planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality and cost-effective services that are consistent with the strategic and operational directions of MHSS.
Key Responsibilites:
* Acts and leads in accordance with Mental Health, Addictions and other Drug best practice.
* Accountable and responsible for the coordination of consumer care activities and the standard of clinical care within the Child and Youth Mental Health portfolio of MHSS.
* Acts within relevant legislation including the Mental Health Act 2016.
The Operational Director Child and Youth Mental Health (Psychologist or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) will function as a member of the Mental Health and Specialised Services Leadership team. Manage the operational delivery of clinical services for the multi-disciplinary Mental Health and Specialised Services teams within Mental Health and Specialised Services directorate.
Key Responsibilites:
* Be responsible for all aspects of operational and resource management for a large, diverse multi-disciplinary professional team across multiple facilities.
* Actively participate in the development of health planning, sustainability and partnership agenda to ensure the service provides the community with appropriate contemporary mental health and addiction systems.
* Manage multiple cost centres and be accountable for the administration, direction and control of the relevant asset and financial management.
Remuneration value up to $190,788 p.a., comprising salary between $161,540- $167,217 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP6) or Remuneration value up to $198,959 p.a., comprising salary of $174,378 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 11).
