The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Ranger to assist with the compliance and enforcement of regulatory activities in accordance with relevant legislation, Council policies and community expectations.
Minimum 16 hour week, including weekends.
What we are looking for in you
- Certificate IV in Local Government Regulatory Services or equivalent qualification or significant progress towards such a qualification or Local Government experience in a regulatory or law enforcement role.
- Class ‘C’ Driver Licence
- Current Police Check
- WHS Construction Induction (White) Card
- Demonstrated ability to undertake animal control duties including excellent animal handling skills and experience in the operation of an animal pound.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to negotiate and resolve conflict, and work effectively in a team environment under minimum supervision.
- Sound understanding of and commitment to EEO and WHS principles and practices.
