Your Role as a MechanicAs a Mechanic, you will engage in hands-on maintenance, inspection, and servicing of our modern fleet and plant assets. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our fleet remains safe and reliable for the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing high-quality and cost-effective mechanical maintenance on various plant and fleet assets.
- Diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Maintaining accurate electronic service records and safety documentation.
- Mentoring apprentices and assisting new team members in their professional development.
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve operational goals and improve team productivity.
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our afternoon shift. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality service. - A Certificate III in Automotive Engineering (Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Mobile Plant).
- MVRIA Mechanic’s Licence.
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
- At lease 12 months post-trade experience in servicing and repairing heavy vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic abilities with hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Personal Traits: Excellent communication skills with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- Class HR Driver’s Licence would be advantageous
- Heavy Vehicle Authorised Inspection Scheme (HVAIS) examiner would be desirable.
Your ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively will be vital for your success in this role. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and ready to undertake hands-on tasks with dedication!

- Package: From $95,788.00 - $99,861 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation ($69,785 - $73,858) base salary, plus allowances $15,788 (market allowance), $1465 (pump allowance) and $8,750 (shift allowance)
- Hours of work: Casual, Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities (38 hours 9-day fortnight) will be considered
- Afternoon Shift: 1:00 pm to 10:20 pm. Monday – Thursday 1:00 pm – 10:20 pm. First Friday 12: 00 pm – 4:00 pm. Second Friday RDO scheduled. Must be flexible to work a reasonable number of public holidays
