About the team

Community Facilities Maintenance is a service provider for the City’s Asset managers providing all electrical maintenance and minor installations when requested. The goal of the Plumbing Team is to add value to the City, maintain its plumbing assets at a high level, and provide a detailed level of service that is professional and efficient.

About your new role

Under the direction of the Team Leader Plumbing, undertake maintenance and installation work on plumbing, roofing and irrigation services on or within the City’s buildings, facilities, parks and park facilities.

  • Ensure all work is performed to meet safety, environmental and legislative requirements and responsibilities.
  • Complete work in accordance with the relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide and deliver a high standard of service to meet customers’ expectations and the sections' service and operational standards.
  • Participate in the after-hours call-out roster, responding to and actioning calls in line with Community Facilities Maintenance operation standards.
  • Assist in the development and training of apprentices.

We're looking for people who have:

  • Pride in your work and a track record of ensuring that all work is performed to meet quality, safety, environmental and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and require limited supervision to 'get the job done right'.
  • Proven capacity to apply initiative, judgement and resources effectively to achieve organisational goals to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Current QBCC Plumbing and Drainage Licence (Mandatory).
  • C Class Driver’s Licence Unrestricted (Mandatory).
  • Ability to participate in the after-hours call out roster.
