About The Department

About The Role
As the Business Support Officer, you will:
- Coordinate and assist with the provision of services, across the range of administrative, human resources and financial management functions.
- Resolve issues and assist in the implementation of initiatives, policies, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration of the Regional Operations and Corporate Governance Team.
- Provide operational advice and support relating to the delivery of administrative, human resource and financial services.
- Ensure administrative, human resource and financial management systems are developed, implemented and maintained.
- Understand the legislative frameworks, acts, awards and whole of government directives and departmental policies and procedures for human resource management and financial services.
- Create and manage purchase orders, accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, corporate card management and accounts reconciliation using a range of financial management systems.
- Human Resource, Financial and administrative document management including assistance with the preparation of reports.
- Undertake financial analysis and financial planning to support the Nominated Supervisor.
- Support and prepare recruitment and selection processes and maintain human resource material including role descriptions.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in all activities, correspondence and administrative documents.
- Utilise and maintain a range of recording and tracking tools that support staffing, learning and development and recruitment processes.
- Applicants who have working knowledge of Human Resources and Financial Operations within the department would be considered advantageous.
- Attach a brief resume including contact details for 2 referees (referees should have an understanding of your relevant work history);
- Attach a 2-page written statement in response to the attached role description.
