About the Role:
We are recruiting for a Structural Engineer on behalf of a well-known, large commercial building company based solely in South Australia. This role focuses on managing engineering installations, commissioning, and ensuring all technical components are delivered in compliance with project requirements. You will work closely with the project team throughout the preconstruction, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring the timely delivery of all services and engineering components.
Your role will include, but not be limited to:

Delivering high-quality, innovative structural designs for medium to large-scale projects, including architecturally designed houses, townhouse developments, and associated facilities like community centres and gyms, with potential involvement in multi-level and light commercial buildings.

Managing projects from concept design to construction, ensuring they meet budget and timeframes, with support from experienced, collaborative teams.

Assisting in client management and maintaining relationships with existing clients and stakeholders across various disciplines.

Supporting the development of graduate and junior engineers in line with company goals and strategies.

Promoting a client-focused approach within the team, emphasizing responsiveness, professionalism, and timely delivery.
You will need to have:

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.

2-5 years post-graduate structural design experience, particularly in residential or low-rise buildings.

Experience in the design of timber, reinforced concrete, and steel structures, including waffle slabs, raft slabs, suspended slabs, and retaining walls.

Proficiency in engineering design tools (ClearCalcs, Space Gass, Toolkit, Inducta, RAPT - advantageous).

Strong rapport-building skills with clients and project stakeholders.

Advanced understanding of Australian standards and building codes (AS2870, AS1684, AS1170, AS3600, AS4100, NCC).
