We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join the AUSCERT team—a tight-knit, high-performing, not for profit, UQ-owned business passionate about cyber security and member engagement. In this role, you will drive and deliver innovative digital marketing strategies and compelling content to promote AUSCERT’s services, events, and brand. With a strong focus on digital channels, you will play a key role in raising our profile, attracting new members, and enhancing our online presence across platforms.
Key responsibilities will include:

Developing and implementing digital-first marketing campaigns and engaging content across Salesforce, email, website, and social media platforms.

Designing and producing multimedia content and creative assets that align with AUSCERT’s brand and strategic objectives.

Coordinating and optimising AUSCERT’s online presence through analytics, social media strategies, and website updates.

Supporting key initiatives including the AUSCERT Podcast, annual conference, and member communications.

You are a self-motivated and organised marketing professional with a flair for digital content and a passion for engaging audiences. With a background in marketing, communications, or a related field, you bring strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with hands-on experience in delivering innovative marketing strategies across digital platforms. You thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and are confident liaising with a variety of stakeholders to promote services and events effectively.
You will also have:

A degree in marketing, communications, business or related field, or equivalent experience and training
-
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including content creation for websites, blogs, and press releases
-
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders, media, and high-profile speakers
-
Proficiency with CMS platforms, social media tools, and general computing skills
-
A friendly, professional, and client-focused approach to work
-
Ability to work independently with a methodical and organised mindset
Desirable attributes include familiarity with the cyber security sector, experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and competency in design tools such as Canva, InDesign, or Photoshop.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.
