We are currently seeking a skilled Wood Machinist to join our dynamic team.Job Summary: As a Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for operating a variety of woodworking machinery to produce cabinet components and finished products. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all products meet our high standards for quality and precision.
Annual Base Salary: $77,000.00 + Super
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain woodworking machines such as Anderson & Biesse CNC’s, Hebrock Edge Banders and Panel Saws.
• Read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Cut, shape, and assemble wood materials to create cabinet parts and other wood products.
• Ensure all products are manufactured to exact specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with production staff to optimize production processes and reduce waste.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in inventory management and report any supply shortages or equipment issues.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in woodworking or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a wood machinist or in a similar role within the cabinet manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in operating woodworking machinery and tools.
• Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to [50kgs]) and stand for long periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Willingness to work in a noisy and dusty environment, following all safety guidelines.
