The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced individual to fill the role of Principal Quality Engineer. The successful candidate will drive a culture of excellence and a shift-left strategy across mobile, web, and back-end. You will be working with three other senior Quality leads (two Principal Quality Engineers and a Lead Automation Engineer).
This is a 15 months role based out of our Footscray office with hybrid working options.
About you
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities, meeting strict deadlines, and maintaining quality standards under time constraints.
- Skilled in proactively identifying, flagging, and mitigating risks to ensure timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated and manual testing strategies, frameworks, and solution.
- Bring advanced expertise in Test Automation, Performance Testing, and (ideally) Security Testing to drive technical excellence.
