Your suitability for the role will be assessed based on the knowledge, skills, capabilities that you bring to the role along with your personal qualities, your potential for development, your potential to make a future contribution to QBuild and your ability to:
- Understand and carry out manual work, technical information and the use of equipment.
- Understand the importance of adhering to safety protocols including following proper procedures, using protective equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Demonstrate respect for others and carefully plan your work to achieve results.
- Communicate clearly, listen attentively, proactively seek to understand others by asking questions and work collaboratively with others.
- Be 15 years of age at commencement. Candidates 18 or turning 18 are preferred due to occasional overnight travel for our distant work program, unless you are a school-based apprentice not required to travel until full-time.
- Be eligible to work in Australia (permanent residency).
- Have completed Year 10 with a pass in Maths and English.
- Be able to transport yourself and your tools to work/training sites (a driver's license is not mandatory).
- Be willing to obtain a Construction Industry White Card before starting.
