The Senior Financial Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, is responsible for delivering high-quality, service-focused general accounting support for The Star Sydney, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company policies.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Finance team.

A few of your responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting tasks including journal entries, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and tax support
  • Deliver monthly reports to business partners, including balance sheets, reconciliation summaries, and P&L analysis
  • Prepare quarterly reporting packs for The Star Sydney
  • Lead engagement with finance teams through structured plans covering deliverables, site visits, and communication
  • Investigate and resolve transactional issues such as misallocations

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CA/CPA qualified with 3+ years’ experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting roles
  • Proficient in Oracle, TM1, and advanced Excel
