As Executive Director, you will lead statewide initiatives that place student wellbeing, inclusion and engagement at the heart of education reform. You will shape and deliver strategic policy solutions that support equitable outcomes for all students across Queensland, and collaborate with schools, regions and stakeholders to drive system-wide improvement in wellbeing, culture and achievement.

Join us as Executive Director, Statewide Initiatives and play a key leadership role in shaping equitable, inclusive and high-performing education systems.

  • Lead the design and delivery of state-wide strategic initiatives that put student wellbeing at the centre of education reform.
  • Champion a culture of inclusion, engagement and excellence for every learner—from early childhood through to school completion.
  • Drive cross-system collaboration to improve student outcomes in wellbeing, culture, safety, and learning.
  • Translate strategy into action by leading innovative, evidence-based solutions that address complex challenges at scale.
  • Influence and shape government policy with a strong equity lens, ensuring every student can thrive regardless of background or circumstance.
  • Engage deeply with school communities, education leaders, and sector partners to co-design and implement meaningful change.
  • Represent the Department of Education at the highest levels—advising, influencing and advocating for student wellbeing and success.
  • Inspire and lead high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values courage, compassion and outcomes.
