Apprenticeship in Civil Construction – Plant Operators
Are you passionate about horticulture and ready to grow your career? Murrumbidgee Council is offering an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Plant Operators to join our team.
Based at our Darlington Point, or Jerilderie Depot, you will work alongside our Infrastructure Grader Supervisor, gaining hands-on experience while working toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction.
The apprenticeship in Certificate III Civil Construction over 4 years provides a foundational education in civil engineering. This program equips individuals with the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in civil construction, contributing to the development and maintenance of Council’s Infrastructure.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award 2023 with salary ranging from $601.70 to $1230.40 per week and is depended on age.

The successful candidate
A key requirement for this opportunity is your commitment and motivation to complete your trade over a four-year fixed term. This includes theoretical blocks of training, most likely in Albury or Wagga Wagga.
To be successful in this role, you will also need to have the following:
· An ability to work as part of a team
· A can-do attitude, willingness to learn and to develop new skills
· An ongoing commitment to safety, quality and principles of continuous improvement
· Provisional Car Licence or Full Car Licence
· SafeWork NSW Construction Induction (White Card) or willingness to apply
