This is an exciting career opportunity for a Project Manager, where your management, planning, coordination and leadership skills will ensure the successful delivery of assigned scope on time and budget.

The Project Manager will be required to form and maintain close relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Focused on achieving program objectives you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of team members, solution development, and management of the program to satisfy contractual and internal performance requirements.

This role will work closely with the Software Delivery team, responsible for producing a Maritime Electronic Warfare software application using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and/or the Mission System team responsible for System Engineering and Hardware deliverables.

Some key responsibilities involve:

  • Lead and provide direction of the day-to-day management, coordination, and delivery of assigned project tasks to ensure the achievement of program performance indicators, performance goals and other milestones within budget and schedule.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work in close collaboration with other team leads, senior managers and discipline/functional leads to deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage project risk, budget development, schedule, and program reporting including Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs) in accordance with Raytheon approved processes.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering (or equivalent discipline), Business Management, or equivalent experience.
  • At least five (5) years prior relevant experience in a same or similar role.
  • Ability to manage projects or processes within area of responsibility, as required.
  • Demonstrated competence in Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), Prince2 or equivalent project management methodology.
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to establish strong working relationships and build customer rapport to influence stakeholders for the best program outcomes.
  • Demonstrated skills in estimating work effort, duration, and value.
  • High level understanding of systems engineering and software development concepts as applied in projects.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Australian Government (Defence) Security Clearance up to Negative Vetting Level 1. Eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
