We’re seeking a Senior Review Officer to join our Review and Appeals Unit within the Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Services directorate. In this role, you will manage reviews of decisions made by workers’ compensation insurers and internal reviews of work health and electrical safety matters.

We're seeking a Senior Review Officer to join our Review and Appeals Unit within the Workers' Compensation Regulatory Services directorate. In this role, you will manage reviews of decisions made by workers' compensation insurers and internal reviews of work health and electrical safety matters.

- Lead and manage a caseload of reviews on compensation entitlements, policy and premium disputes, and complex claims including psychological injuries and fatalities.
- Conduct internal reviews of certain work health and safety and electrical safety decisions.
- Apply procedural fairness and sound judgment to deliver impartial and timely outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear explanations of complex legislative processes.
- Prepare high-quality written decisions supported by robust evidence and legal interpretation.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to a supportive, accountable team culture.
- Experience in case management, dispute resolution, or review processes within insurance, workers' compensation, or related sectors.
- Strong knowledge of legislation and the ability to interpret and apply case law (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to manage sensitive conversations.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and resilient under time pressures.
- Experience handling psychological injury claims is highly regarded.
