The Company
Our client is a a leading Australian brand with a growing international footprint, now seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Brisbane head office. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact in-house legal role, supporting a dynamic consumer business operating across key global markets including Australia, North America, Europe, and Asia.
The Opportunity
This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure to a variety of legal and commercial work. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing practical legal advice that supports strategic decision-making, operational efficiency, and brand protection in a fast-paced and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enforce a global IP portfolio (trade marks, designs, copyright)
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts across supply, logistics, marketing, IT, and more
• Advise on advertising, influencer campaigns, and promotional activity across multiple jurisdictions
• Support regulatory compliance, including labelling, packaging and product standards
• Provide guidance on privacy and data protection frameworks (AU, US, EU)
• Manage insurance coverage and claims processes
• Coordinate external legal providers and streamline internal legal operations

About You
We’re looking for a commercially astute and collaborative legal professional who brings:

• 7+ years’ post-admission experience (private practice and/or in-house)
• Strong commercial drafting skills and the ability to work autonomously
• IP, privacy or consumer law experience (highly regarded)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail
