As a Principal Project Officer within the Office of the Coordinator-General, you will play an integral role in delivering a variety of complex government projects. By leveraging the authority of the Coordinator-General, you will help drive economic development through industry growth, infrastructure delivery, and successful regional economic transitions. Your efforts will be aligned with the Coordinator-General's priorities and the Government’s commitments to the Queensland community.You Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of a range of complex and diverse projects for government that drive economic development and infrastructure initiatives.
- Provide accurate and timely analysis and advice to the project team.
- Monitor project progress and provide feedback and solutions on new and emerging risks and issues.
- Assist with the engagement and management of external project advisors from a range of disciplines.
- Prepare quality briefs, correspondence, submissions and reports on complex issues.
- Provide secretariat services for project committees with interdepartmental and private sector representatives.
- Liaise with other government departments to identify opportunities and overcome impediments in project delivery to meet changing stakeholder demands and expectations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the private sector to improve project outcomes.
- Support a safe workplace environment that supports wellbeing and values diversity and inclusion and enables collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation.
- Contribute and nurture the positive and inclusive culture of the Major Projects Development team and the Office of the Coordinator-General more broadly.
