Description:

The Senior Accountant role will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
  • Mentor and provide support to junior accounting staff as needed.

Requirements:

A successful Senior Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Background in audit or business services (mid tier or big-4 ideal)
  • Proven experience in accounting roles, ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector ideal
  • Proficiency in using an ERP system ideal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
