Description:
The Senior Accountant role will be responsible for the following:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Support the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
- Mentor and provide support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements:
A successful Senior Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Background in audit or business services (mid tier or big-4 ideal)
- Proven experience in accounting roles, ideally within the industrial/manufacturing sector ideal
- Proficiency in using an ERP system ideal
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
