About the Role:
The School of Earth and Planetary Sciences (EPS) at Curtin University is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable academic with proven research and teaching skills in Space and Planetary Science. This position will conduct independent research as part of the Space Science and Technology Centre (SSTC) and develop high-quality teaching programs in the new Bachelor of Science major in Space and Planetary Sciences. This role includes teaching and supervising research projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Essential Criteria:
PhD in Space and/or Planetary Sciences or a related discipline, and post-doctoral research and/or university or relevant industry experience. Demonstrable track record of research funding success and high-quality publications, relative to opportunity. Demonstrated ability / experience / capacity to undertake a unit coordination role (ALB). Demonstrable evidence of high-quality teaching coordination and a reflective approach to teaching delivery (ALC). Demonstrated ability or potential to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects (ALB). Demonstrable record of graduate research supervision and conferral of Higher Degree by Research Students (ALC). Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and staff respectfully across cultures and collaborate collegially. Demonstrated commitment to integrity, health and safety, equity and inclusivity.Role Requirements:
As this is a continuing position, you will require permanent work rights. We will also consider international candidates who are eligible for a relevant visa.
