About The Role
Working within the Strategy and Planning team, Corporate Strategy, Governance and Risk, as our Manager, Governance and Performance, you will be directly supporting the Director and Executive Director and lead a small team. You will provide expert advice to senior management and executive on effective organisational performance management including the delivery of departmental strategic and operational planning, business and service improvement, and monitoring and reporting activities. As Our Manager, Governance And Performance, You Will
- Provide authoritative advice, guidance and support to the department and portfolio statutory bodies on the Queensland Government Performance Management Framework policy (PMF) and the elements of planning, measuring and monitoring performance and reporting.
- Support the Director, Strategy, Governance and Risk, in ensuring that the department and portfolio statutory bodies meet their obligations under the PMF, including the preparation of strategic and operational plans, Service Delivery Statements, annual reports and periodic performance reporting.
- Manage the coordinated research, analysis and synthesis of departmental performance management information and prepare timely and well researched
- Lead responsive action that drives improvement and builds capability across business groups in the implementation of the PMF to maintain and improve service performance across the department.
- Work collaboratively to build and maintain productive working relationships with our stakeholders to enhance the value of organisational performance management, and promote collaboration and partnerships across the department and across government.
- Drive a culture of performance excellence using and sharing best practice strategies and frameworks, providing strong and effective leadership through mentoring, coaching and capability development.
- Represent the department at a range of state and national organisational performance management forums to gather information and promote developments within the department.
- Manage, develop and coach team members, ensuring capacity and capability to deliver team objectives.
You may also have
- A proven record of delivering outcomes across planning and performance management frameworks that have had a significant positive impact on organisational performance.
- A degree or similar qualification in a relevant field and membership affiliation with a relevant professional association.
