AWS Professional Services help our Public Sector clients achieve their digital transformation goals on the AWS Cloud with our consulting services.

In this role, you will lead strategic business development and own the AWS Professional Services sales motion end to end. You’ll join a diverse team of technical experts supporting the Public Sector in Australia and New Zealand who help customers achieve more with the AWS cloud.

Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a dynamic ProServe Account Executive to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll be responsible for engaging and winning new customers in transformative projects involving technology strategy, migration and modernisation, data, AI and GenAI. You'll work closely with ProServe Cloud Architects, Engagement Managers, and Delivery Consultants to drive customer success and business growth.

As ProServe’s customer facing relationship owner, you’ll be primarily focused on understanding and defining business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and securing customer sign-off for Statements of Work (SoW). Following project launch, you will stay connected with the customer to ensure we are delivering the agreed customer business outcomes (CBO).

Your experience in selling services within the technology and consulting sector will equip you with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers. You will demonstrate proficiency in business development, executing sales methodologies and managing CRM systems coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities. New customer acquisition and growth within existing customers will be important for success in role.

The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.

Key job responsibilities
Qualifying and developing new opportunities for AWS Professional Services within new and existing territories

Developing and executing account plans, working closely with AWS Sales

Owning the sales motion end to end, including prospecting, qualification, and closure

Leading sales to delivery for AWS Professional Services consultants

Acting as a trusted advisor to customers

Supporting complex RFx responses and direct bids

Managing strategic pursuits and orchestrating internal teams to accelerate deal closure

Requirements:

- 10+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
- 5+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience, or Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
- 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
- Ability to obtain Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearances (NV1 or above)- Cloud certification like AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
- AWS Certified AI Practitioner certification
