- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee financial reporting processes and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial insights and advice.
- Manage the preparation of tax returns and liaise with auditors as required.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures.
- Support the development of financial strategies and policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiencies.
Requirements:
A successful Group Accountant should have:
- A recognised accounting qualification (CA/CPA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis within the Not For Profit sector.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to work.
Conditions:
