Description:
- Oversee Design and development of HV substations up to 132 kV, including primary and protection systems.
- Guide, plan and implement power systems engineering solutions for complex projects.
- Ensure compliance with earthing systems standards (AS 3000) for all designs.
- Support the integration of renewable energy sources, including solar and wind, into the grid.
- Contribute to the delivery of major infrastructure projects nationally.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless interfacing with rail networks.
- Oversee construction, testing, and commissioning phases to ensure project completion.
- Provide technical expertise and support to multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
A successful Senior Electrical Engineer should have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in HV substation design and power systems engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS 3000.
- Expertise in renewable energy integration and major infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with rail network interfacing and associated systems.
- Experience with construction, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
