QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government. It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About The Role
In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting QBuild's mission to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry through exceptional administrative coordination. By supervising and guiding administrative staff, you will ensure high-quality service delivery and effective support for the section and category managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing and coaching a team of administrative staff in their daily duties and responsibilities by providing effective supervision, performance management, training and support.
- Providing a high level of administrative support to the section and category managers, including research, preparation and actioning of correspondence.
- Providing a central point of contact for the provision of quality information to regional staff on a range of financial, information management, records management and other administrative issues.
- Providing efficient and high standards of customer service to QBuild customers including coordinating responses to escalated customer queries, ensuring a high-quality service through the use of interpersonal skills including negotiation, and dispute resolution.
- Operating effectively as a critical support position to the section contributing to a high standard of service delivery and achievement of business outcomes, including program delivery.
- Developing and implementing administrative processes that support improved work order management and service delivery.
- Preparing, monitoring and maintaining various reports required by the business and coordinate the sections reporting and work management activities.
- Proactively managing the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
Experience in coaching and supervising administrative staff is essential, along with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The role also requires proficiency in administrative duties and customer service.
