This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full-Time, Permanent Part-Time, Fixed Term Full-Time, Fixed Term Part-Time and Casual appointments. Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/05/2026.

What is our Clinical Nurse role?

The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care and specialised youth mental health interventions are delivered to young people in a community setting. This includes providing intensive community outreach, incorporating assessment, risk assessment, risk management, care planning, case management, crisis interventions, and time-limited care coordination to support young people with complex mental health needs, along with their families and carers.

Area profile

NMHS contains Western Australia’s largest Mental Health Service caring for youths, adults, and older adults. Services are delivered through inpatient units, community mental health clinics and day therapy and outreach programs to a catchment area of almost 1 million people. State-wide and Tertiary Mental Health Services include research, forensics, neurosciences, art therapy, eating disorders and other specialised services.

Eligibility to Apply: Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.
