Description:
- Process and manage end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates to employee information.
- Prepare and submit statutory reporting, including superannuation and tax obligations.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide exceptional support to employees.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
- Assist in the preparation of payroll audits and compliance checks.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the payroll system.
- Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and ensure organisational compliance.
Requirements:
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- Proven experience in payroll processing within the public sector or a similar environment.
- Experience with weekly payroll's or fast paced environments
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation requirements in Australia.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel - Tech1 advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and stakeholders.
Conditions:
- Competitive salary ranging from AUD 80'000 to AUD 90'000 per annum.
