Description:

  • Process and manage end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure timely updates to employee information.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reporting, including superannuation and tax obligations.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide exceptional support to employees.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll audits and compliance checks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the payroll system.
  • Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation and ensure organisational compliance.

Requirements:

A successful Payroll Officer should have:

  • Proven experience in payroll processing within the public sector or a similar environment.
  • Experience with weekly payroll's or fast paced environments
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation requirements in Australia.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel - Tech1 advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with employees and stakeholders.

Conditions:

  • Competitive salary ranging from AUD 80'000 to AUD 90'000 per annum.
  • Permanent position within the public sector.
