About the Role
Join our dynamic team as a key player in our supply chain operations! As a vital member reporting to the Import Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our purchasing schedules and supply flows are optimized. You will oversee all aspects of international shipping, including finished goods and raw materials, to ensure that Sorbent meets its customer supply requirements efficiently and on time.

Accountabilities
Stock
- Identify all finished goods and raw materials components to fulfil product demand
- Review and monitor stock levels of Finish Goods and Raw materials to ensure that minimum stock levels at Distribution Centers are maintained as per business requirement and processing purchase orders to vendors as required
- Regularly review stock levels of consumables and process orders as required, with the goal to keep costs low
- Pre-empt/identify and resolve any upcoming supply problems before any impact
Shipping
- Coordinate with freight forwarder, local warehouse, 3PL and customers to schedule incoming/outgoing container delivery dates and times
- Make necessary arrangements to ensure the most time efficient loading/unloading process, and oversee the process container delivery end to end
- Check duty charges and classifications and manage any broker/classifier queries
Planning Reporting and Data Management
- Generate relevant reports to internal and external stakeholders. This includes Shipping ETA Reports
- Develop and deliver regular reporting against key performance indicators
- Weekly or daily reporting on shipping updates to internal stake holders
- Maintain shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information
- Process and file all documentation
To be successful in this role you must have
- Tertiary Qualification in Supply Chain Management/Logistics OR equivalent experience
- 5 years plus experience working with databases and generating reports and information from a variety of electronic sources
- SAP (mandatory)
- Word and Excel (intermediate)
- Experience working with a direct importer in a freight forwarding discipline in ocean imports is desirable
- Excellent planning and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and checking skills
- Comfortable understanding and analysing data
- The ability to work independently, with minimal direct supervision, whilst successfully completing all daily tasks
