Description:
The maintenance fitter duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on machinery and production equipment.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with the production team to address equipment issues promptly.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure accurate record-keeping for compliance purposes.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work within a fixed 4-day roster schedule, supporting a flexible but structured work environment.
Requirements:
A successful Mechanical Maintenance Fitter should have:
- Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent (training available for the right candidate)
- Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within food or manufacturing environments
- If not, candidates from domestic, residential, or commercial maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply
- Comfortable working night shifts (9:30 PM - 7:30 AM) on a fixed 4-day weekly roster
