Patches is a diversified company, operating in the Health and Disability, Aged Care, and Education sectors. Experience across multiple sectors is essential for this role, including Private Health Services; NDIS; Aged Care, and Education and Care Services.
The candidate will be responsible for achieving our Company Objectives of delivering Exceptional Services; Sustained Business Growth; and High-Performing Teams.
The Chief Operating Officer will work closely with the CEO, Finance Team, and our Clinical Leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, and will be responsible for managing budgets, resources, and personnel.
This is an office-based role, and attendance on site each day is a requirement.
The Chief Operating Officer will be accountable for all aspects of our Operations, Logistics, Compliance with relevant Quality Frameworks, Human Resources and Industrial Relations, and Financial Performance. This is a broad role, and the successful candidate will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy and initiative in the role.
Responsibilities
- Review, refine and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure the efficient functioning of all departments
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation, including finance, human resources, marketing, clinical quality improvement, and customer service
- Work closely with the Chief Executive, Finance, and Clinical Leadership Team to develop and implement business plans that drive growth and profitability
- Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure that the organisation sets and meets financial and growth objectives
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations across health, disability (NDIS), aged care (CHPS) and education and care (OSHC)
- Provide regular reports to the CEO on the organisation's performance and progress towards goals
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, finance, management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in a senior management role, with a proven track record of success
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement plans that drive growth and profitability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues quickly and effectively
- Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and personnel management
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in each of the sectors in which we operate
