Program Officer - AO5The Program Officer, Youth Justice Commissioning and Investment, plays a critical role in administering the Kickstarter grants program to support vulnerable young people, including those at risk of or already involved in youth justice.
This role involves supporting the development and implementation of grant programs, projects, and initiatives, as well as fostering stakeholder engagement to achieve the program's objectives. With expertise in grants program systems and support, the successful candidate will focus on ensuring the delivery of quality outcomes for young people and maximising the value of public investment.
As Program Officer, You Will Specifically
- Contribute positively to Youth Justice Kickstarter grants team environment by supporting strategic planning, development, communication and engagement functions, sharing knowledge and information and working both autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across a range of data systems.
- Monitor and report on performance of funded organisations
- Provide advice and information to non-government organisations and departmental staff regarding funding initiatives, quality assurance systems, accountability requirements and developmental resources.
- Contribute to the development of a strong and sustainable community service sector by supporting initiatives that build the capacity of service providers.
- Work collaboratively with other departmental service areas to promote the capacity of non-government services enabling them to meet the needs of clients.
- Prepare briefs, correspondence, and other departmental reports as required.
- Enhance the community sector ability to respond to young people by identifying opportunities for improving non-government service delivery.
