Description:
The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Analyse financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Other ad hoc activities may arise or this role may develop over time given the dynamic nature of the business and current transformation activities
Requirements:
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA are highly regarded.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
- Experience using a large ERP such as SAP or Oracle
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
