As part of the Network Aviation Finance team, the Finance Analyst will Support the delivery of financial reporting and routine analysis for operational teams, ensuring accuracy of core processes. This is a hands‑on role that offers exposure across multiple business units, where your attention to detail and ability to communicate complex financial information will directly influence business decisions.
Working closely with Engineering, Procurement, Operations and project stakeholders, you’ll ensure financial accuracy across month‑end, budgets, forecasts and capital spend, all while upholding Qantas financial policies and contributing to continuous improvement across our systems and processes.
You’ll Be Responsible For
- Assist with preparation of month‑end financial reports and reconciliations under guidance from senior team members. Support the tracking of capital expenditure and assist in preparing reporting packs. Prepare routine updates for FTE and cost centre reports based on established templates.
- Supporting budgets and forecast cycles
- Ensuring compliance and supporting ad hoc reporting
- Work with internal stakeholders to provide required financial information.
- 3 – 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification and CA/CPA qualification or progress toward completion
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Advanced Excel and experience with systems such as Essbase and Oracle
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner with technical and operational teams
- Proven initiative, accountability and a continuous improvement mindset
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance processes
