Description:
The Product Merchandiser is responsible for:
- Selecting and sourcing products that align with market trends and customer preferences.
- Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies to optimise product presentation.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align product placement with promotional campaigns.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure product availability.
- Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for product improvements and increased sales.
- Stay updated on industry trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and standards in all merchandising activities.
Requirements:
A successful Product Merchandiser should have:
- Experience in product buying or visual merchandising within the retail, home or furniture sector.
- A strong understanding of market trends and customer preferences.
- Proficiency in analysing sales data and making data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with SAP, DOMO, Monday.com and other BI tools
