As a Plant Operator (Grader) within the Civil Operations division, you’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality maintenance and construction works.

This position is ideal for an experienced operator who takes pride in precision, safety, and teamwork - and who enjoys the satisfaction of seeing the results of their work every day.

  • One (1) permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week).
  • Remuneration package of $2,582.98 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,099.58 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing on‑site supervision and guidance to team members and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality work.
  • Operating and maintaining a range of Council plant and equipment, with a strong focus on grader operation for: unsealed road maintenance, road formation and earthworks, shoulder, driveway, and fire trail maintenance, drain, batter, pond, and levee bank works, gravel re‑sheeting and preparation for sealing, car park and subdivision construction and Laser work and final trim grading.
  • Carrying out a variety of civil labouring tasks including traffic control, concreting, paving, stormwater maintenance, kerb and gutter works, and general maintenance.
  • Using and maintaining small plant, tools, and PPE in line with Council standards.
  • Completing required documentation such as forms, safety records, and site paperwork.

What You’ll Bring

  • MR Driver’s Licence.
  • White Card and SafeWork NSW Traffic Control qualifications.
  • Strong experience in grader operation and civil construction.
  • Ability to lead others on site and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management, planning, and basic computer skills.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues, contractors, and the community.
