Description:

We're Arc'teryx, and we build gear that's obsessively engineered to perform in the wildest weather. Born in the Canadian Coast Mountains, we're driven by design, performance, and a deep respect for the outdoors.

Arc'teryx is growing across Australia and New Zealand, and we're looking for a People & Culture Advisor who knows retail HR inside and out — someone who's proactive, grounded in ER, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, multi-site environment.

This is a hands-on, end-to-end generalist role; perfect for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, navigating complexity, and being a trusted partner to leaders and employees alike.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day HR advice across the full employee lifecycle
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen people leadership capability through coaching, capability uplift, and targeted training that supports performance, engagement, and team effectiveness
  • Manage employee relations matters end-to-end, including performance, conduct, grievances, and terminations
  • Coach retail leaders on people practices, performance management, policies, and change
  • Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding across the retail network
  • Prepare employment offers, contracts, variations, and formal HR correspondence
  • Ensure HR systems (including Workday) are accurate, compliant, and up to date
  • Support compliance with employment legislation and relevant Awards
  • Contribute to the review and rollout of HR policies, processes, and global initiatives
  • Partner with Talent on recruitment coordination, onboarding, and induction delivery
  • Support visa and immigration processes where required
  • Support the broader People & Culture team with projects, escalations, and key lifecycle events

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years' experience in a generalist HR or people operations role
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resources (or related field)
  • Proven HR experience within the retail industry
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters end-to-end
  • A natural problem-solver who shows initiative, curiosity, and accountability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
  • The ability to balance empathy with clear boundaries and compliance
  • Confidence working autonomously while collaborating closely with a team

What's In It For You

  • Competitive salary + bonus scheme
  • Generous staff discount across Arc'teryx and other Amer Sports brands
  • Paid parental leave top-up program
  • Career pathways across ANZ and across the globe
  • A chance to build something new and be part of a like-minded outdoor-loving crew
