About the Role

Flinders University is seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join our team as Student Services Advisor (Flinders Online) for our online students and be an integral part of our City Campus Services team.

In this dynamic role, you will support Flinders Online students across the entire student lifecycle, providing high‑quality guidance on enrolment, course requirements and university processes. As a key point of contact, you will deliver accurate and engaging information that helps students transition confidently into their studies and fosters a strong sense of connection. Working within a skilled team and collaborating with services across campuses and portfolios, you will contribute to seamless, student‑centred support. Based at the Flinders City Campus, you will also provide flexible assistance to the broader campus services team as operational needs arise.

As the Student Services Advisor (Flinders Online), you will be a key on-site contact to students and be required to:

Provide timely and high-quality enrolment and course advice services to Flinders Online students, including coordinating proactive calling campaigns, managing complex enquiries to resolution, and ensuring compliance with University policy, procedures, and legislation. Act as the primary contact for student lifecycle services, including enrolment changes, load management, class registration, leave of absence, withdrawals, international compliance and re-admittance ensuring warm referrals, oversight to completion and timely resolution Collaborating with Colleges and Portfolios to support communication strategies and other initiatives, including optimising Flinders Online content and materials to ensure information is accurate, clear, and accessible, providing students with consistent, supportive guidance throughout their learning journey.

The role is also expected to provide flexible support to the broader City Campus Services team, contributing to shared priorities and assisting with operational needs as required.

The incumbent may be required to work within the City Campus hours of operation, these being Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm. Hours worked may be undertaken on a rostered arrangement.

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be the key to your success, as you provide high quality customer service and demonstrate the ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships with students, staff and stakeholders through constructive and collaborative interactions. You will be flexible and adaptable, eager to collaborate and assist other members within the City Campus Services team. You will foster positive professional relationships and prove that you are a strong team player, willing to contribute to an inclusive and cohesive team culture.

The successful Student Services Advisor (Flinders Online), will also have:

Completion of a degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Well-developed customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with students, staff and other stakeholders through constructive and collaborative interactions. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver operational services in a high-volume and complex service delivery environment, with the ability to provide culturally appropriate, high-quality, timely and accurate advice. Effective to well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear, accessible content by reviewing and maintaining online content and digital resources, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with communication strategies.
