About This Position
The City of Gosnells Waste Services Team is currently seeking a motivated and proactive Waste Collection Operator to join our dedicated crew.
In this essential role, you will help deliver high-quality waste collection services across the community, operating a variety of waste collection vehicles with professionalism and care. Your commitment to friendly, customer-focused service will make a real difference to our residents and help keep our city clean and thriving.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate:
- A commitment to safety
- Experience in the safe operation and basic maintenance of heavy vehicles (waste collection experience is desirable but not essential)
- Willingness and capability to learn waste collection systems, equipment and safe operating procedures through structured training
- Self‑motivated and reliable, with the ability to perform routine tasks consistently while maintaining a positive, engaged and safety‑focused approach to work
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a close-knit team
- Ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload to achieve specified timeframes.
- Current Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
- Current HR driver's licence
Candidates with a current HR licence and demonstrated heavy vehicle driving experience will be provided with comprehensive training in waste collection operations.
