We are looking for motivated individuals who are able to proactively engage with stakeholders, unpack complexity and detail, and develop clear, creative and future-focused products in a dynamic environment.

The role requires you to influence others (20 direct reports), use your ability to think creatively, communicate complex concepts to support users of our products achieve the Department of Education, International's strategic objectives. Multiple positions available.

Your Role

  • Lead and manage end-to-end admissions processes for future students, including international students enrolling in Queensland accredited state schools, ensuring compliance with legislation, policy and risk frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement of admissions systems, customer service models and operational processes to enhance efficiency, consistency and student experience.
  • Provide high-level strategic and operational advice to senior departmental officers, schools and regions on admissions trends, risks and emerging issues.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including schools, regions, service providers, agents, regulators and government partners.
  • Manage human and financial resources to deliver high-quality admissions services, including team leadership, capability development and performance management.
  • Represent International Student Programs and future student admissions at internal and external forums, supporting collaboration and system-wide improvement while promoting an inclusive and diverse workplace.

  • High level writing and communication skills suited for government.
  • Excellent attention to detail and coordination skills.
  • Great at stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
  • Innovative and collaborative.
  • Strong understanding of the National Code and ESOS act.
