Description:
The Tax Accountant position sits under the Director and is required on a part-time basis to support the growth of the firm.Initially, the role will be focused on compliance work on a bank of high-quality, high net worth clients with the majority of work including
- Preparation of special purpose financial statements
- Completion of income tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals
- SMSF returns and administration where applicable
- Identification and clarification of possible Division 7A matters
In time, it is expected that for a willing candidate the role would evolve to take on more advisory work as the portfolio of clients continues to develop
Requirements:
A successful Tax Accountant should have:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field - with qualified or part-qualified accounting status preferred.
- Proficiency in tax software and accounting tools.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements, coupled with at least 2-3 years of direct experience in business services or tax practice.
- Exceptional attention to detail and appreciation of compliance processes.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
