Description:
- Partner with leaders across operational and corporate teams to provide timely, practical HR advice.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Support a predominantly casual, field based workforce across the Mining and Clerks Awards.
- Manage end to end HR operations including general HR administration.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to maintain compliance across workplace legislation and company policies.
- Mentor operational leaders on decision making, guiding them through policies, employment law and best practice.
- Contribute to improvement initiatives across systems, processes and workforce capability.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in human resources or a related field.
- 3-5 years HR generalist experience, ideally in mining, contracting or a similar high volume blue collar environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation in Australia.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, coach and challenge respectfully
- Happy to be hands on with administration, systems and documentation
- Thrives in smaller teams where autonomy, initiative and common sense decision making are essential
- Suits an HR Advisor stepping up or an early HRBP wanting broader exposure
- Resilient, level headed and comfortable working with developing leaders and strong personalities
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
