The Procurement Manager position sits within the Finance and Infrastructure portfolio and is designed to optimise organisational spend, enhance value for money and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards across the organisation. The role directly supports the core mission of providing high quality Catholic education through ensuring responsible and efficient resource stewardship.
Key responsibilities within the Procurement Manager role include:
- Establishment of Procurement Practices & Frameworks
- Strategic Tender Management
- Supplier Selection
- Spend Analysis and Opportunity Identification
- Relationship Management - internal and external
- Technology Development - with a specific focus on purchasing and procurement modules
- Modern Slavery Reporting
Requirements:
Applications for the Procurement Manager position will be assessed against the following criteria:
- A relevant 3rd level qualification in Business, Commerce or Supply Chain Management is highly desirable
- At least 8 years experience managing procurement within a large, complex organisation - with experience gained in an education context highly advantageous
- Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement frameworks and policies, as well as driving long-term strategic procurement strategies that align with organisational goals
- Ideally you will have direct exposure to relevant categories; including IT (software and hardware) and construction/facilities
- Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence and working rights for the period of the appointment
- Cleared National Police Check and compliance with Accreditation to Work teach and Lead (or willingness to pursue if successfully appointed)
- Ability to work from one of the four corporate offices on a full-time basis
- Full selection criteria can be disclosed during screening
