Who You Are
You are an experienced Learning & Development professional who knows how to turn insights into impactful training that builds capability, drives compliance, and supports cultural growth across diverse operational environments.
- Qualified in Education, Human Resources, or Training & Assessment (e.g. TAE), with a solid foundation in adult learning principles
- Brings 3-5 years' experience in L&D, ideally with exposure to construction, property, hospitality or trades
- Experienced in end-to-end instructional design, needs analysis, and engaging facilitation—whether in a workshop, onsite, or online setting
- Familiar with WHS and compliance-driven training requirements, with a knack for translating standards into practical learning solutions
- Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate), and Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly organised and confident managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and timelines in a fast-paced environment
- A strong communicator who knows how to collaborate with frontline teams, site leaders, and executives alike.
- Shape learning strategies by identifying workforce capability needs through stakeholder consultation, performance data, and feedback
- Design and deliver training across diverse formats—including eLearning, in-person workshops, job aids, and coaching—tailored to operational needs across construction sites, hotels, real estate offices, and roofing teams
- Support compliance and safety training, ensuring full participation and accurate records across all business units
- Coordinate learning logistics such as training calendars, venues, materials, and ‘train-the-trainer' initiatives
- Evaluate training effectiveness using pre/post assessments, surveys, and performance metrics; report on learning outcomes and ROI
- Maintain and update LMS content to ensure user-friendly, accurate, and compliant digital learning experiences
- Partner with external providers and RTOs to deliver accredited or specialist courses where needed
- Drive continuous improvement by staying current with industry learning trends, technologies, and legislation
- Champion DCOH's values of inclusion, safety, and community impact by embedding them in every training touchpoint.
