Job Description- Implement and optimise operational strategies through insightful planning
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with a diverse range of senior stakeholders across Qantas
- Permanent full-time position located at the Qantas Campus in Mascot
In the role as Manager Operations Planning , you will take the lead in operational insights and governance for Qantas involving coordination among a diverse set of stakeholders. This includes collaborating with Network, Workforce Planning, Engineering Planning, Customer Insights, IOC, and various operational departments.
Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating the anticipated operational performance of our schedules, identifying areas of operational risk, and suggesting potential investments to mitigate these risks. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the Network and Operational Planning governance forums which will support schedule sign off, prioritised investment and resources, and initiatives to drive further performance improvements.
You’ll have —
- 5-10 years’ experience in senior roles in Aviation, Business Management, Finance, or related industry
- Broad experience in a range of commercial positions and demonstrated ability to solve complex business issues across operational unit
- Experience in dealing in a complex business environment and engaging, negotiating with and influencing stakeholders at an executive level
- Significant experience in customer facing and business development roles at senior management level
- Degree in industry/business related discipline or extensive relevant industry experience
- Successful senior management experience leading the development of best practice strategic workforce planning and labour program governance and program delivery
- Demonstrated high level of consultation, negotiation and interpersonal relationship skills to deal with a range of internal and external clients
- Senior level financial and business acumen to manage strategic workforce planning financial analysis and data, business case development and execution
- Demonstrated strategic leadership capability to provide direction, coaching, motivation and support for a team to meet objectives
