Reporting to the Directorate Administrator, this role sits within the Work Education program, which delivers vocational education to students with an intellectual disability.
This position is ideal for someone who brings empathy, patience and professionalism, and who genuinely enjoys working in an inclusive education environment. You will play a key role in reception, student-facing administration and program support, ensuring students, families and stakeholders feel welcomed, supported and informed
What You'll Do
- Provide reception, administrative and program support to students with an intellectual disability enrolled in the Work Education program
- Deliver high-quality, student-focused customer service to students, families, advocates and stakeholders
- Support academic and student administration including enrolments,attendance, assessments and results
- Maintain accurate records and student data across systems including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, CELCAT and the Student Management System (STRATA)
- Assist with Markbook setup and accuracy in collaboration with Education Managers
- Support accreditation and compliance-related administrative processes as required
- Coordinate meetings, events and program activities, including preparation of materials and documentation
- Process finance administration tasks including purchase orders, invoices and payments
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and administrative projects within the Directorate
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative support role, ideally within an education or student-facing environment
- Proven ability to provide calm, respectful and inclusive support to diverse client groups, including people with disability
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise tact and diplomacy
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Experience supporting students with disability or working in inclusive education settings
- Experience using student management systems or education administration platforms
