Description:

Your role in Policy, Performance and First Nations supports housing and homelessness strategies to improve outcomes for First Nations communities. You’ll provide expertise in property inspections across a diverse portfolio, contributing to asset management policies and programs that enhance performance, value and utilisation.

As a Program Officer, you’ll travel to remote communities to inspect new and existing assets, conduct quality assessments, and appraise property conditions using departmental systems. Field conditions can be volatile, requiring adaptability, vigilance, and risk management

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conduct audits/reviews on property condition data and condition appraisals.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Monitor budget and delivery performance for a variety of social housing asset management programs including value for money assessment.
  • Maintain and update departmental information systems with the ability to use a variety of software and data applications.
  • Assist and provide ongoing support to service areas and agencies in regard to overall property asset management functions.
  • Maintain knowledge and understand of cross-cultural protocols and departmental policies to effectively and sensitively consult, negotiate and communicate with partners, stakeholders and customers.
  • Prepare timely and well-research project documentation, briefings, reports, budgets, submissions, ministerial and departmental correspondence as required.

Mandatory Requirement

  • Class C Driver's Licence
