Description:
- Lead and deliver complex high‑voltage engineering and design across multiple projects.
- Undertake hands‑on HV primary plant design, protection engineering, earthing, and power system studies.
- Produce and review calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical authority, structured review, and sign‑off of engineering deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislation, network requirements, and internal QA systems.
- Engage with clients, network service providers, and subcontractors to resolve technical matters.
- Support project planning, risk identification, and design coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers to strengthen HV capability within the team.
- Contribute to internal tools, templates, design standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support tenders and provide technical input into scopes and proposals.
Requirements:
- Degree‑qualified Electrical Engineer with extensive high‑voltage experience.
- Ideally 15+ years industry experience, including 10+ years in protection and power system detailed design.
- Strong capability across both primary HV design and secondary/protection engineering.
- Proficient with ETAP, PTW/SKM, DIgSILENT, SafeGrid, Cymcap, or similar power system software.
- Proven ability to deliver and technically review complex HV engineering projects.
- Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of HV standards and engineering methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Confident mentoring juniors and contributing to a high‑performing engineering team.
- Values technical integrity, practical engineering solutions, and high‑quality outcomes.
- Able to operate independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
