Purpose of the position

The Digital and Design Content Officer provides essential support in the creation and implementation of GORCAPA's marketing, digital, and brand strategies.

Working closely with the Brand and Content Coordinator, this position contributes to the development and delivery of social, digital and print products that are clear, compelling and visually engaging for internal and external audiences.

Primary Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities of this position include:

  • Support the production and publishing of engaging content for internal and external audiences, including written, video, design and photography, to be published across a variety of channels such as web, social, EDM and print.
  • Respond to public/user comments and messages across digital platforms.
  • Monitor content performance, test new formats, and refine strategies, providing data-supported reports with key metrics to assess campaign results.
  • Ensure website content is accurate, well-written and designed for maximum reach and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).
  • Ensure all published content and images meet GORCAPA accessibility standards.
  • Assist the team deliver web-based projects, such as the development of subsites, upgrades and new web technologies/innovations.
  • Coordinate the management of the internal website and intranet, including updating and publishing content.
  • Work under general guidance to develop and update various products (including PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, design assets, and video files) to ensure they consistently reflect GORCAPA's brand, style, and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand signage requirements to create signage from templates using graphic design software (Illustrator, InDesign, Canva)

About you?

  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated Experience in a similar role, 3 + years.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience with photography and video editing software (eg. Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
  • Experience with CMS platforms and email marketing tools.
  • Experience in role modelling a safety culture.
