About You
As Senior Manager, Timetable Services, you will lead RMIT's central timetabling and class registration function, ensuring the smooth delivery of student focused timetables and supporting more than 88,000 students through complex annual scheduling cycles. Working with a large, experienced team, you will oversee workload balance, monitor ServiceNow volumes, guide continuous improvement, and ensure well established processes run reliably on schedule. While not on the tools, you will play a key leadership role by resolving escalations, advocating for the function, running engagement workshops with academics, and strengthening communication and engagement with key stakeholders.
This role suits a leader with strong experience in the tertiary sector, particularly those who have worked in timetabling, student administration or academic operations, and who thrive in large, people focused operational environments. You will bring the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, support scenario modelling when teaching spaces change, and maintain a strong focus on service quality and stakeholder experience. With significant scope, operational complexity, and the chance to bring a fresh perspective to an established and high impact university service, this position sits at the centre of enabling high quality learning and teaching outcomes at RMIT.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
Demonstrated high level ability in leading and managing a team in an area of high volume and high intensity workload. Demonstrated skills in developing and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at a senior level within a university structure. Technical expertise in timetable scheduling or registration systems and significant experience in the use of these systems in the tertiary environment. Demonstrated skills in working and coordinating cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of new systems and processes. Commitment to excellence in client service provision and to promoting, supporting and developing a culture of and processes for continuous improvement. A proven capacity to undertake planning involving resources use and to develop scenarios and recommendations for resource allocation. Experience/Understanding of student administration operations and procedures particularly pertaining to program structures and class scheduling.Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.

The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences. The portfolio incorporates the following business units; Data & Analytics, Finance & Governance, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Legal, Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Property Services and Enabling Services Reform which is where this role resides. The portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life, across the globe. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.
