  • Level C/D - $142,300 - $187,548 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

    This role also involves a significant contribution to teaching excellence across the University’s undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate programs, including curriculum development, student supervision, and academic leadership.

    The University’s School of Allied Health and Human Performance offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, nutrition, exercise and sport science, and human movement.

    Our degrees meet the evolving needs of the health industry, with our graduates actively contributing to the future health workforce in areas such as medical imaging, rehabilitation and wellness, disability, health promotion, chronic disease, pain management, wellbeing and high-performance sport.

The School of Allied Health and Human Performance is home to the Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA), a recognised research centre which investigates the role of exercise, nutrition and other lifestyle activities in improving clinical and health outcomes and Innovation, Implementation & Clinical Translation in Health (IIMPACT), a research concentration, which focuses on persistent pain and breathlessness, rural health and stroke recovery.

    Reporting to an Academic Lead you will work within a team to help shape community wellbeing by educating the next generation of health professionals, as well as driving high-impact research that interrogates the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of key health issues.

    Experience

    To thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:

    Qualifications:

  • A PhD in a relevant discipline, with a national record of achievement.

    Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to high quality, flexible teaching and learning outcomes, using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies and modes of delivery including online systems.
Evidence of sustained contribution to research activity, with a record of quality journal and book publications, and success in winning external grants to support research projects and initiatives. Proven ability to engage and establish strong professional links with relevant industry and community bodies.
