Description:

Beenleigh State School is seeking an experienced and compassionate Deputy Principal - Wellbeing to provide strategic leadership in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment where every student can thrive. The successful candidate will lead whole school wellbeing initiatives, oversee student support services, and promote positive behaviour, engagement, and mental health. This role requires strong collaboration with staff, families, and external agencies, as well as a deep understanding of child protection, wellbeing frameworks, and relevant legislation.

About The Role

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Support the Principal's leadership by contributing to the development and implementation of a shared, future-focused educational vision that promotes high-quality learning outcomes for all students, and deputising for the Principal when required.
  • Lead with integrity and equity by upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical role and embedding socially just practices across daily school life.
  • Drive high performance and growth by setting high expectations for students and staff and actively engaging in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, community groups, industry, business, and government agencies to enhance student opportunities and wellbeing.
  • Ensure effective governance and resource management through a strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies and the strategic management of school resources to achieve school goals.
